Are you searching for Cheap Hotels Near the Louvre Museum on a tight budget? See below for my specific advice!
In simple terms, I suggest that no matter what month you travel or how bad the hotel is, you won’t find accommodations for €100/night. It simply isn’t taking place.
You’ll be lucky to locate accommodations for €200 per night if you travel during the summer.
But don’t give up!
If you’re still reading, I understand you want a cheap hotel in one of Paris’s most beautiful and accessible locations. I enjoy finding a fantastic deal on a budget and staying in a lovely place.
In the following sections, I will discuss the cost of a “cheap” hotel near the Louvre, some of the finest possibilities for low-cost housing near this well-known museum, and other things to consider when planning your trip to Paris.
General Prices for Budget Accommodations Near the Louvre Museum
“Near the Louvre” refers to walking to the Pyramide du Louvre in less than 15 minutes, with a maximum of 15-20 minutes.
The time of year you visit affects how cheap things are. December, January, February, and March typically have fewer hotel possibilities. All hotels have far higher rates later in the spring and summer and around Christmas.
A few hotels offer rooms for less than €150 per night in the winter, but anything between €150 and €200 is generally considered a cheap room.
Cheap hotels typically start at about €230-300 per night until you enter the high season or summer, essentially April through October. In mid-July and August, it’s not common for the greatest deals to be found at €300-350 per night.
In Paris, August is a slow month, with slightly cheaper accommodations than the remainder of the busy season.

What Is Near the Louvre & Why Stay Here
This part of Paris is extremely stunning; numerous Instagrammable locations surround the Louvre, and the architecture is imposing and magnificent, with elaborate stone façades on buildings. The 1st arrondissement is home to several luxury businesses, while Place Vendome, a nearby shopping centre, is also home to some luxury labels.
The Seine River flows alongside the Louvre, and this section of the river is exceptionally lovely.
The magnificent Sainte Chappelle and Notre Dame churches are located on the Ile de la Cité island in the Seine, not far from the Louvre.
The 6th arrondissement, also called Saint-Germain, and the 7th arrondissement, also home to the Eiffel Tower, are located just over the river on the Seine’s left side.
The following other must-see locations are just a 15-minute stroll from the Louvre entry:
- The Tuileries Gardens
- Place de la Concorde, Rivoli Street
- Garnier Operation
- Put Vendome in Place
- Royal Garden of Versailles + Buren Columns
- Sacred Chapel
- Pompidou Center
- The Orsay Museum
If you wish to remain close to the Louvre, you have two options: you may stay on the north bank, or right bank, of the Seine, or you can stay on the left bank or south bank. Several of the locations on our list are on the left bank.
A Few Other Things to Know About Parisian Hotels
Before booking a hotel in Paris, here are some things to consider; these also apply to less expensive accommodations in the city centre. None of these things are bad in and of themselves; they’re just different and a byproduct of living in a historic city.
- Compared to hotel accommodations in the US, standard rooms in France are considerably smaller. There’s less floor space, and the rooms are a little more cramped because these are older buildings.
- Be prepared for extremely small lifts, as not all locations have them. The little stairs in France are so unique that I adore them!
- Similarly, very few hotels provide complimentary breakfast. Although hotels usually provide breakfast, it is an additional expense. We rarely pay for the hotel breakfast, opting to start our day with a few sweets from the nearby boulangerie.
